Hi Laura,
Wanted to write and give you some updates. I have been integrating BodyTalk Access into my daily practice since attending the workshop. Nearly everyone in my life has since had their cortices tapped. I have had very interesting experiences and results.
One example involves an eleven year old girl I babysit. She had been treating a sty on her eye for three days (using a hot compress and creams)… When I saw her it was large and had caused most her eye to swell. After practicing Access on her she went to bed. She called me the next day to tell me her sty and almost completely disappeared!
Also had positive results with a co-worker suffering from a strained jaw muscle. But perhaps my greatest experience has been applying BodyTalk to my yoga class for autistic students.
Every class starts with the students laying down “going to sleep” (not an easy task for the autistic body). I then tap out cortices on the individual students. We call it “the magic blanket for our brain”.
I can not believe how much of a difference this had made on my students. It is as if the mind and the body finally have permission to relax. I see smiles on their faces. Withdrawn students are making eye contact.
Yesterday as I was starting class I saw that each student had “gone to sleep” without me asking. They lay on the floor eagerly awaiting (with controlled bodies) “the magic blanket”. I havs a student who sometimes resists my touch. Yesterday I asked him if he would prefer that I skip putting the magic blanket on him. He said “no do it. It feels good”.
I have attached a photo of Aiden who with the help of balancing his left and right brain has finally (he has been in my class two years) learned to balance in tree pose…. And with a smile and eye contact! Miraculous.

“I had an amazing experience yesterday. visited a mom and a baby, both congested. the baby hadn’t been able to sleep because she was so congested that she couldn’t breath. she had to be held up as it was too uncomfortable for her to lie down.
as the mom held the baby, i tapped her cortices, and voila, her body started breathing before i was even done! short breaths, but breaths nonetheless and she stopped crying, and actually started playing! i started the access techniques on her mom. tapped her cortices, did switching, and then got up with the the cotton to go to the bathroom and wet it. as i walked out, the baby, who was sitting, stood up and started tapping her belly and gurgling!! looking straight at me and the cotton!! i hadn’t spoken a word about what we were going to do with the cotton, and she is less than a year old!!!
so i asked her – ‘charlotte, you want hydration!?!’ she gurgled again and tapped her belly. i asked her, should we finish mommy’s processes first and then come to you, or would you like hydration done on you first? she smiled a big smile looked at her mother and pointed towards her, and patiently waited for her turn. after i finished reciprocals on her mom (not all – whatever i could remember since i didn’t have the manual and the visit was impromptu), charlotte was all ready with her little hand tapping her belly. she took hydration so easily, and went off to sleep peacefully almost immediately after.
we watched her with amazement as she coughed here and there, and her breath became much easier. her fever went down. she woke up after 20 minutes or so, and was so energetic. she laughed and laughed and laughed – all three of us did, like loud laughs continuous unbroken giggles and laughs for a good 20 minutes. it was unbelievable. “
