Tight neck? Here’s a fast way to release it!

Tight neck? Here’s a fast way to release it!

Stiff? Achy? Tight? Sore?

Is that how you would describe your neck?

The thing is, the more you focus on how tight and stiff your neck is, the more tight and stiff it becomes…

SO, to help you break the pattern, I’ve taken you back down to the ocean to get some magic into the sliding surfaces in your neck so you can feel the fluidity come back.

“Tight neck? Here’s a fast way to release it w/ @laurahames & #LAHFDaily!”

Make sure that you do it, practice it and leave me a comment. I want to know how it felt when you did it and then what that means to your day.

Hey Laura – the image of 7 layers of muscles sliding around in the neck is wonderful. All those fibres sliding around…….really helps to soften it. Thank you!

  2. I love your videos. And you’re at the beach. I’m so jealous! Great stuff! Very handy tip during this crazy launch time right!

    • Hi Jalanda. I’m happy to hear that. And yes, it was wonderful being at the beach and this tip will certainly help you to flow more in all crazy times! Best of luck with your launch and let me know how it goes!

Wow, Laura, that was absolutely fantastic imagery….I will apply this when doing my next bodywork session, when in my next yoga class…I will share this with all who are interested. Now, I again plea for you and Eric to bring the Franklyn Method teachers training to the N.Y. metro area…please, please, please….

FANTASTIC, Laura!! I’ve been focusing on the fluidity of my neck AND shoulders when taking a bath (I experience my whole senses and imagery more effectively this way). I have been utilizing your suggestions as well as The Franklin Method suggestions, and…WOW! My neck and shoulder tension dissipates more and more quickly and deeply each time I do it! I love you, Laura, and your husband!! xoxo

    • Yes Becky!!! That is SO great. I read this when I was walking in town today and saw this beautiful fountain… made me think of you and this comment. I’ve put it in FreeTalk Friday this today :) xo

Oooo! You chose one my fav relaxing places! When we lived in Calif. I loved to go down to the beach and all my stress would melt away just listening to the surf ! Yes, fluid! I really did not realize just how tense my neck was until if used your image! Lovely, I’m floating! Thanks !

This really helped!! I’ve also been doing the rocking the head and squeezing the shoulder exercises and my neck is much more fluid than ever before, and my range of motion has also increased beyond what I’ve had in years. I still wake up with a stiff neck, but I’m able to significantly improve it with these exercises Thank you SO much!!

Wow. Thank you. I was having issues with tight ham strings and did a google search and found your site.

I also have had major neck problems and wacthed this video as well.

BOTH areas were instantly ‘cured” of the stretch and more pain cycle.

Really, as a 54 year old man I was a wee bit skeptocal of this methods but IT WORKS! Thank you very much.

forgot to ask…do you have anything for shoulders?
